Christmas is fast approaching. When we were in the Philippines, we know it is already Christmas season when the Starbucks red cups are out. And I am missing my daily (or 2x or 3x a day) fix of Starbucks coffee. Last year I was still able to get one before we left for Singapore. I had to treat my teammates just to be able to collect all the stickers. :D

Thanks to @maver (plurk style pa din!), I get a chance to own one. :) Just answer her simple question posted in her blog:

1. If you were a Starbucks drink, what would you be and why?
- Mocha Frappuccino Blended Coffee - I can be a refreshing fix to a hot, stressful day.

I am a BIG fan of Anthony Bourdain. Have I told you that? But lately I haven't been watching his show - No Reservations - as our TV is always on Playhouse Disney.

Even if the Philippines episode in his latest season is not yet shown here in South East Asia, I have already seen it. And absolutely love it.

I follow his blog, and a fan of No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain in Facebook. Who will be the American Idol Season 8 Winner?

Just finished watching the finale performances.
It was awesome!! It is true that there are many good talents this season. I think the Top 5 are all good singers. But Adam and Kris are just exceptional.

From the beginning, we all know that Adam will be in the Finale. He just sings his songs so well. Very good interpretation and very good arrangement. And he can definitely sing!

Kris is a late bloomer. Looking at the past performances and results, he was just average. But in the last weeks, we all see that he is a good singer and musician. He can play the piano or guitar and even sing well. And his own rendition of Heartless was awesome!

It is everywhere in the news: Swine Flu Outbreak.

And the news is getting scarier everyday. Death is already at 149 with 20 confirmed swine flu related. Close to 2000 people are sickened and it not only in Mexico. There are already reported cases in the US, Canada, Scotland, Spain, New Zealand, France and Israel. WHO already raised the alert level to 4 as they have determined that the virus is capable of significant human-to-human transmission.

One good thing to know that most countries are taking precautionary measures to prevent the virus from entering non-affected countries. I hope they can stop the spread of this virus as soon as possible...

American Idol is now down to 7

This week is definitely the most interesting week of American Idol Season 8.
Last night the contestants sang songs from the year they were born. Many sang really good renditions of their song choice. But as usual there were others that really massacred their songs. :P
As always Adam Lambert did GREAT! Hubby and I loved his version of Mad World. It even reminded us of this CSI episode where this song was played. I think many were not able to watch his performance as their DVR cut it off (like our friends Raf & Arnel). You can watch it here free. He was so good, Simon said : "... and i think words are unnecessary but I want to give you a standing ovation." and he was on his feet and applauding Adam. I'm sure his fellow contestants are envious! Simon rarely, if not never, done that. If he keeps on doing this, he can clearly be the run-away winner in Season 8.
Based on last night's performance, my bottom 3 are: Lil Rounds, Anoop Desai and Allison Iraheta. I used to be a fan of Lil but her performances in the last few weeks were blah! The judges kept on telling her to be more of an artist than a singer but she still cannot do it. Maybe there is not much creativity in her. Anoop is also a darling. I'm sure he has a lot of fans too (especially teenagers). But his performances are not solid - some are good some are not. It is a roller coaster ride with him. It is also clear that some of the judges are not a fan. As for Allison, sorry I simply do not like her. :( Yes, she has very good vocals especially for a 16 year old. But I think she is immature and still needs more dedication in her craft. *this is my blog and this is just my opinion!*
The biggest shocker this week is the eliminations! I still haven't seen the show as it will be shown here at 6 and 8PM on StarWorld. But being a net surfing junkie, it is inevitable that I will see a news article about the eliminations. Even if I do not click on the whole article, the title is already a give away. It is sad to see Scott MacIntyre go. He is just so adorable. I know he will not win AI, but I think it is still early in the competition for him to be eliminated. I still want to see what he can do. It was only this week that we saw him playing the guitar. I was hoping that he will try an acoustic guitar next time as Paula hinted. His performance last night was average. Unlike Anoop, I think Scott had more good performances than him. And as LA Times said, he was an inspiration. It was also a difficult decision for the 4 judges as 2 of them wants him to be saved and 2 votes for him to leave. For him to be saved, it should be a unanimous decision.
We will miss Scott. We are glad American Idol gave him the opportunity to show his talent even if he is visually impaired. He is trully an inspiration to all. Good luck, Scott!

Ito ang pinakapaborito kong litrato ng prinsesa sa kasalukuyan. Kuha ito pagkatapos niyang kumain ng chocolate mini ice cream. Napakahilig nya sa sorbetes! Buti na lang at may nabibili ditong mini ice cream on cone. Mga 3 pulgada lamang ang taas. Ayos na ito para mapagbigyan lamang ang kanyang craving sa sorbetes.
Tuwing nakikita ko din ito, naiisip ko ding hindi na beybi ang aking prinsesa. Little girl na sya. Hay... ang bilis lumaki ng mga bata.

Yey! I'm so happy!! After 4months of being a sahm-ie, I finally had my first earning.
There are a lot of earn-thru-blogging sites out there and I tried a few of them months ago. Even before I became a sahm-ie. I think it was during my bored days in Company#2. :P
It was just $2. Very small for pro-bloggers out there but for me, it can be a start of my online raket. I just have to be "masipag" in my blogging and other online activities. More "work" and less plurk/FB/surf/petiks. lol

Habang naghahalungkat sa baul ng aming mga larawan, natisod ko ang mga ito. Noong unang taon ng aming kasal, tina-try naming mag-celebrate buwan-buwan ng aming month-sary. I'm a big fan of Anthony Bourdain. And I cannot wait for his Philippine episode in No Reservations. I wonder what he will eat. Will he be given exotic food? Or just the same old sisig, lechon, adobo. I heard before that Juday was with him when he went to Cafe Ysabelle. Haven't seen Juday yet on a foodie show. I'm sure she'll be ok coz she's a chef too.

Will make a blog review after I've seen the show. But this Manila Walk is a little lame. He should have researched more on the more appropriate English terms of our street foods. Like taho = soy bean curd and calamansi = small lime. But I should not expect that much from him coz he's more of a tour guide than a foodie.

Most of the ladies have very pretty tats but none inspired me for my next tattoo. It has been more than a year since I had my first tat and I think I can already have my next. Problem is I don't know yet the design for my next tat. I just know where I want it.
In terms of having tattoos, I thnk Singapore is a good place to have and show them. I have seen a lot of people (and women) here sporting nice tattoos. We were not able to go to the 1st Singapore Tattoo show but I don't regret it. It is difficult now for us to go to not-child-friendly places and events. Maybe the next tattoo shows.

In the year of the rat, it was said that the horse will have a bad year. For us, it was not bad but rather good. Hubby and I were able to get new good jobs last year (altho i quit mine after almost 6months). Hubby's job is in Singapore. And Ela and I were able to join him here in SGP in November.

Our health was also ok. Altho I had the flu last year, we were very thankful because our little princess did not have any serious illness last year. Unlike in 2007 when she was admitted in Medical City twice.

I have been taking care of the house, hubby and our little princess since then. Two weeks have passed and being a stay at home mom is definitely not the easiest! I rarely do tags. But the topic of this one is close to home.
My grandmother (nanay ng nanay ko) died of breast cancer 3yrs ago. So of all the diseases out there that I should be afraid of, this is the one I'm most afraid. My mom, me and Ela are of greater risk of this disease because of our medical history. I'm more afraid also because I always have benign cysts in my breast since I was in 1st yr college. Some were removed back in 1994 and everytime I have a breast u/s, the technician finds some. Most are small so my OB said it is ok not to remove them. But I always try to make sure to have a breast ultrasound every year.

Saw this baby feeding set in the baby section of the most popular department store in the Manila. The feeding set looked nice - even nice enough to be a gift to some kid. Rockwell is turning Japanese-y

One thing I so love about Japan (and soooo miss right now) is its food.
True that the usual Japanese food is an acquired taste - I did not like miso soup the first time I tasted it - but once you loved it, you will want more!

On our first day as Intra-company assignee, Kayumi-san (hay... i also so miss this guy. he was like our dad there) took us to Pepper Lunch in Fuchu City for lunch. When I had the first bite of the famous Pepper Steak, I knew we will be coming back for more. This is the meal/resto where I can eat almost everyday - this we almost did! :P

Japan is also the place where you can find almost any kind/variation of chocolate. They have a LOT - especially when it is Valentine's day. On V-day the girls usually give chocolates to their male colleagues and friends. But it was not V-day when we tasted the best chocolate ever! Kitayama-san gave us Royce chocolates as omiyage from his hometown in Hokkaido. This is the chocolate that melts in your mouth and also on your hands. LOL.

Pepper Lunch is already available in Rockwell. Royce store will open soon. How I wish I could frequent Rockwell so I could eat PL and Royce chocolates everyday - goodbye diet! :P

LP: Aking Kompyuter

Sobrang tagal na mula nang ako'y huling mag-post sa LP. Pasensya na po... Sadyang toxic lang sa mga nakaraang linggo sa trabaho. At medyo nakakatamad kumuha ng larawan sa aming pipitsuging camera. Mas gusto ko pa ngang kumuha ng larawan gamit ang aking mumunting cellfone.

Pero dahil malapit sa aking puso ang paksa nung nakaraang linggo, makiki-post na din ako kahit sobrang huli na.

Sa inaraw-araw na ginawa ng Diyos, hindi makukumpleto ang araw ko nang hindi makakakuha ng radiation galing sa kompyuter screen. Sa pagmulat ng aking mata hanggang sa pagpikit upang matulog na, naka-harap ako sa kompyuter. Ito din ay dahil sa aking linya ng trabaho sa IT. Hindi ko alam kung ano mangyayari sa akin kung walang kompyuter. Kaya hwag nyo akong dadalhin sa liblib at malayong lugar na walang internet, mamatay ako. hahaha.

Ang unang larawan ay ang aking kompyuter sa bahay. Dati-rati desktop ang kompyuter ko. Pero ngayon mas gusto ko na ang laptop. Hindi ko naman sya inilalabas ng bahay pero mas malawak sya at hindi masyadong mabusisi sa mga aksesorya. Nasa likod nya ang aming ever-reliable-na-malapit-na-ding-bumigay na external HDD na si dingga. Matagal na sya sa amin, may lampas 4 taon na din yata. Pero napaglalagyan pa din ng mga backup files. Pede na syang mag-retiro. :P

Ang pangalawang larawan ay ang aking compyuter sa upisina. Laptop din sya. Kaya wala akong dahilan para hindi makapag-trabaho sa bahay. Ganyan lamang ang kanyang itsura sa maghapon dahil ako ay may external monitor at keyboard. So parang desktop din sya. hahaha. Ayaw kong iniuuwi ito dahil mabigat. Kung pede nga lang mag-request ng bagong laptop. :P Pero di na din nila ako pagbibigyan kasi ako'y malapit nang umalis.

I haven't been blogging much. I cannot even join LP coz I don't have a decent camera. And I want a new one - now!!

Saw this cute new Canon Digicam from ShopCrazy. I miss my CanonJP days. When new products from Canon is released, we always get the news first from the intranet. And I miss Japan where there are lots of electronics shops where I can play with these new toys first before buying.

But since this is from Canon, I don't really need to test this first. I'm still very loyal to that brand even if I already left the company. They have really good products.

How I wish we have this law here in the Philippines. The TelCos are really taking advantage of the "tie-up" in their plans. Then after your tie-up, and you decide to downgrade, you are not still eligible to other offerings. I have been a Globe subscriber for more than 7yrs now and I don't get much from their loyalty promos.

una muna... ipagpa-umahin na mali ang aking unang akda para sa linggong ito. nagkada-duling na yata ako at tema para sa susunod na buwan ang aking natingnan.

kuha ito sa likod ng mall of asia sa pasay. noong araw ng mga tatay, pagkatapos naming mamasyal sa fun ranch, napag-isipang maglakwatsa pa at dito kami napadpad. mahigit isang taon na ang nakakaraan nang kami'y magpunta dito. noo'y hindi pa bukas ang lugar na ito sa may tabing dagat. noong kami'y magpunta, maraming tao at marami na ring mga tindahan na nandito. hindi ito ang unang pagkakataon na makakita ng dagat ang aming prinsesa. nadala na namin sya noong isang taon sa batangas. pero sa pagkakataon ito ay tuwang-tuwa siya. aliw na aliw sa hampas ng alon. ang akin namang butihing asawa ay sinasariwa ang kanyang kabataan - noong naliligo pa sya sa breakwater sa manila bay (yak!). pag naiisip nya ito ngayon siya ay nandidiri na din (hehehe). napakasaya ng araw na ito. isa sa mga magagandang weekend bonding moments naming mag-anak. Nandito ako ngayon sa Mozu - isang kainan na malapit dito sa aking pinapasukan dito sa Ortigas. Ika-5 na ng hapon pero katatapos ko lamang mananghalian. Itong "damong" ito ang palamuti sa aking Tuna Pocket sandwich. Pamilyar sa akin itong dahon na ito dahil pinaglalaruan ko ito nung bata pa ako at inilalahok sa aking lutu-lutuan. Nakaka-miss ang aking mga laruan nung ako'y bata pa. Sana magkaron din si Ela ng ganon at sana'y maging masaya ang kanyang kabataan.
Masarap kaya itong dahon na ito? Hindi ko tinikman.

Some hospitals getting in way of breast-feeding
- I've always been a breastfeeding advocate. Even if I was not able to purely breastfed Ela. She was mixed fed from her 3rd month onwards. And I only breastfed until her 14th month. But I always support new moms in their breastfeeding. Even tried coaching a friend in breastfeeding her newborn - and it was a success! :) I just hope breastfeeding can be promoted more than formula-feeding. It really have good benefits for our kids.

Acer Aspire One is quite literally 'the one'
- It is a battle of mini-notebook PCs! It's like everyday there is news of a new model and some are better than the others. We are a fan of mini-notes - we have the 1st gen Asus EEE PC. They are just so cute, so portable and so reliable. How I wish I have one of those as my office PC. I have this bulky MegaBook and I am sometimes too lazy to bring it home coz of its weight and its too bulky. Plus the bag is so un-girly (that is why im buying myself a laptop bag at the bazaar later).

Sa dinami-dami ng larawan namin nung aming kasal, hindi ko alam kung alin ang aking ilalagay dito sa LP. Wala din kasi akong oras na halungkatin ang lampas 1700+ na litrato (hindi pa kasama dito ang kuha ng aming mga kaibigan). At saka hindi ko sigurado kung ok lang isali dito ang hindi namin kuha...

Ang unang larawan ay ang amin ding singsing. Espesyal ang anggulo dahil makikita dito ang mensahe sa loob ng aming singsing

Ang pangalawang larawan ay ang altar ng kapilya na aming pinakasalan. Kuha ito noong una kaming pumunta dito. Na-inlababo kaagad ako sa kapilya - dahil maliit lamang siya at simple. Medyo ayaw ko din kasi ng mala-katedral na simbahan. Parang malungkot kasing tingnan kung hindi mapuno ang simbahan (kahit pa marami ka nang imbitado). Gusto ko talaga ang maliit na simbahan. Intimate kumbaga. (pasensya na kung medyo blurred. sinauna pa kasi ang gamit naming digicam noong 2003)

Ang tawag dito ay koinobori. Kuha ito sa Asakusa, Japan nung nagpunta kami noong Golden Week 2005. Ang koinobori ay windsock na may disenyo ng makukulay na karpa.

Isa sa mga ipinagdiriwang tuwing Golden Week ay ang Araw ng mga Batang Lalaki o "Otoko no Sekku". Sa araw na ito, ang mga magulang nga bagong panganak na batang lalaki ay nagsasabit ng koinobori sa kanilang mga bintana para sa magandang kinabukasan ng bata.

Muli, ipagpaumanhin ninyo ang huli ko na namang akda. Matindi talaga ang epekto sa akin ng epidural at tuwing Huwebes na lang ay nakakalimutan kong mag-post ng mga akda para sa LP.

Itong pareho kong litrato ay kuha noong kami ay nasa Japan. Sa kabutihang-palad ay sa Yokohama City kami napatira. Medyo malayo sa upisina (1.5 oras ng byahe patungo at pabalik), pero napakaraming pedeng puntahan at gawin sa lugar na ito. Nakaka-miss ang Yokohama. Kung mabibigyan ng pagkakataon, nais naming bumalik dito, syempre kasama na ang aming tsikiting.

Uso sa Japan ang mga "street performers". Yung iba ay dito pa nga nadidiskubre. Nagpapalabas lang sila sa mga parke o kung saan mang maluwag na lugar kung saan pedeng magkumpulan ang mga tao. Nakikinood na din kami kasi libre din naman ang palabas (pero my bad, ni isang beses di man lang kami nagbigay...). Iyong isang street performer ay tumalon sa apoy. Di ko na natatandaan masyado yung iba nyang ginawa... Mukhang sobrang sisiw sa kanya ang kanyang ginawa. Syempre pa, lahat naman ng nanonood ay tuwang tuwa. :)

Ang aking lahok naman para sa tubig ay itong isang malaking aquarium. Kuha din ito sa Yokohama, Japan - sa Sea Paradise. Nakakatuwa itong aquarium na ito kasi napakalaki. At nakaka-aliw na makakita ng napakaraming isda - at ang lalaki din nila! Noon lang kami nakapasok sa aquarium na tulad nito. At sobrang nag-enjoy din kami. Sana ay mabisita din namin ang Manila Ocean Park sa mga susunod na araw. Pihado, mag-e-enjoy din ang aming prinsesa - mahilig kasi sya sa hayop.

LP: Mahal na INA

Ito ang mommy at ang prinsesa. Kuha ito noong Bagong Taon sa bahay ni Lolo at Lola sa Laguna. Karaniwan naming ipinagdiriwang ang bagong taon sa probinsya para iwas polusyon/usok. Pinili ito ni hubby (dapat ay ipapa-print nya para sa araw ng mga ina, pero wala siyang oras. wawa naman puro na lang trabaho)

Isa lang ang masasabi ko: mahirap pero masarap maging ina. Lalo na kung nakikita mong maganda ang disposisyon ng anak mo at lumalaki sya ng maayos. Ang sarap ng pakiramdam na may humahalik sa iyo at yumayakap. Masaya ang simula ng araw ko kasi siya ang una kong nakikita - ang kanyang bilog na bilog na mata at matamis na ngiti.

** pasensya na at huli na itong akda ko para sa linggong ito. ito dapat ang pinakamadaling paksa para sa akin... pero medyo natagalan si hubby maghanap ng picture namin eh (sya daw maghahanap :P)

LP: Malungkot

Isa na yata ito sa mga pinakamahihirap na paksa para sa LP. Hindi din talaga ako mahilig kumuha ng mga litrato ng mga bagay na nakakalungkot. Marami-rami din akong stock photos na tiningnan hanggang sa makita ko ang mga ito:

Ito ang unang pagka-ospital ng aming munting prinsesa. Siya ay nagkaron ng viral infection noong isang taon at na-ospital ng ilang araw. Para sa isang una-pa-lang-naging-nanay na tulad ko, nakakatakot at nakakalungkot ang mga araw na ito. Wala akong magawa para maibsan ang sakit at hirap na kanyang dinanas. Kaka-isang taon pa lang niya nito. Limitado ang kanyang paggalaw dahil sa suwerong nakakabit sa kanyang braso. Wala din siyang ganang kumain at bumaba ang kanyang timbang. Mugto ang kanyang mga mata dahil sa pag-iyak dahil sa kanyang nararamdaman. Buti na lamang at nandon ang kanyang paboritong laruan na si teddy para siya ay samahan at aliwin paminsan-minsan.

LP: BLUE FALL

Ito ang BLUE FALL.

Isa ito sa mga pwedeng sakyan sa Sea Paradise, sa Yokohama, Japan. Nagpunta kami dito noong May 2005. 107 meters daw ang taas nito. Galing sa taas, ay free-fall kayong malalaglag sa baba. Nakakatakot di ba?

Kaya naman ito lang yata ang sakay na hindi namin sinubok nung pumunta kami dito. Pareho kami ni hubby na takot. :P Hindi talaga kaya ng powers ko ang mga free-fall rides. Pero marami sa aming kaibigan na nakapunta na dito sa amusement park na ito ang sumubok ng ride na ito. Pero kami, pass pa rin, kahit hanggang ngayon.

Paboritong kanta ito ni hubby (BF pa lang noon) noon. Kanta nya ito para sa akin na paborito nyang sakay (naks).

Hindi ako marunong magmaneho. Pero sa isang tulad kong palagi na lamang pasahero, marami-rami din naman akong alam patungkol sa sasakyan at sa pagmamaneho.

Sa tuwing uupo ako sa "passenger seat" nakaugalian ko nang tumingin palagi sa side mirror sa tabi ko at tulungan si hubby magmaneho. Isa lang ito sa mga nakikita ko sa araw-araw. Sari't-saring mga sasakyan, iba-ibang kulay, iba-ibang modelo. Sayang nga lamang at hindi yung magandang pulang sasakyan ang aking nakuhaan kanina. Hindi na namin sya naabutan eh, humarurot na at kami'y iniwanan ("eat my dust" daw sabi nya).

Gustong-gusto ko ang aking "trono". Nakasanayan ko na ring maging pasahero lamang. Hindi ko alam kung kakayanin ko ang stress ng pagmamaneho. Pero kailangan ko itong harapin habang lumalapit na ang Hunyo kung saan naka-iskedyul na ako ay mag-enroll sa A1 at mag-aral nang magmaneho. Kawawa naman kasi si hubby na syang palaging nas-stress at napapagod. Kailangan na nya ng ka-relyebo.

ang mga bagong litrato na aking kukunan ay manggagaling lamang sa aking cellfone camera. nabagsak kasi ang aming digicam. nung aming dalhin sa pagawaan, halos sampung libo ang gagastusin para maayos. di na lang noh! bibili na lang kami ng bagong digicam. pero, kelan kaya yon? :P

The 10th Tour of the Fireflies

I first saw about this at Cycle Shop in Megamall where we bought our bikes. When I heard about this on the radio, it said it will tour 7 cities. We thought it will be 7 cities outside of the metro so we said "we cant do that, that's too far". But when I finally remembered to check on their website, it is just 7 cities within the Metro - Pasig, Mandaluyong, Makati, Pasay, Manila, Quezon City, Marikina. And when I searched the net for previous tours, young and old and even just enthusiasts can join.
Yey!
So me and hubby will sign up to join this tour on Sunday. I just hope I can bike the whole 50km. :P coz last Sunday when we tried our bikes for the 1st time, I can only bike 3 rounds of the UP Acad oval. Eniweys, I still have 3days to prepare for this.
I hope others could also join!

LP #1&2: Bilog at Tatsulok

Ito ang aking unang akda para sa Litratong Pinoy. Noong isang linggo ang tema ay "Bilog". Hindi na ako nakapagpasa ng akda dahil na-"bloghop" ko lamang ang kanilang site noong Myerkules. Kaya inantay ko na lamang ang pangalawang tema.
Ngunit (subalit) ang aking napiling litrato para sa tema ngayon ay may kakambal na isa pang litrato na pwede para sa tema noong isang linggo.

Heto na po...

Onigiri ang tawag dito. Isa ito sa mga tanyag na pamatid gutom sa Japan na mabibili kahit sa mga combini (convenient store) lamang. Ito ay kanin na may lamang tuna mayonnaise na binabalutan ng nori. Maaring iba-iba ang laman ng kanin - iba pang klase ng isda tulad ng salmon, makarel; seaweed; picles; kimchi; o di kaya'y miso. Pero ang aking pinakapaborito ay itong tuna mayonnaise dahil ito para sa akin ang pinaka-ok ang lasa.

Kinunan ko ang litratong ito noong ako ay pauwi na galing sa trabaho. (Pasensya na, kuha ang mga litrato gamit ang camera ng aking cellphone.) Kailangan ko ng pamatid gutom dahil mahigit isang oras pa bago ako makarating ng bahay at makapaghapunan. Yun nga lang, ang laman ng aking wallet, ay iilang barya na lamang. Kaya't ito lang ang kinaya kong bilhin. Mabuti na lamang at hindi ko na kailangan ng pera pamasahe dahil meron naman akong train pass (o teiki).

Naawa ako sa sarili ko din noon dahil ito lang ang aking nakayanan. Ito ang isa sa mga araw na naka-tipid mode kami. Pero masaya pa rin naman dahil ang kinain ko ay ang aking paborito.

Hay... nakaka-miss ang onigiri. Sana meron din nito sa Konbini.

kung mayroon man sumusubaybay sa blog na ito, may mga panaka-nakang entry po dito na purong Filipino/Tagalog lang. kailangan ko na din yatang sanayin ang aking nakasanayang wika. dami ko nang mga words na di matandaan kung ano sa Tagalog. sayang noong bago pa ako nagt-trabaho, isa ako sa mga tanungan kung ano sa Tagalog yung ganito-ganyan.
sasali po ako sa Litratong Pinoy. sira man ngayon ang aming digi-cam, madami pa din naman kaming lumang litrato na pedeng ilahok. sana makahanap ako mamyang gabi ng pedeng isali para may isang entry na ako.

"Male" Preggers

It's not a male or female desire to have a child. It's a human desire --> oo na. pero babae lang pa rin ang pede mabuntis at manganak. Nung ginusto mong maging lalaki, ito ang isa sa mga alam mo dapat ni ni-give up mo. hay...
sorry... i just dont agree with "him" getting pregnant. these people are sick. and they get all the publicity pa nga naman.

Oh how I hate free-sizes. It doesn't fit all. Yes, I'm bitter 'coz it won't fit me. :P It should just put the range: Fits XS to M; wont fit L and above.

Oh this is such good news. Sana lang talaga may mangyari dito.

I really don't like what Bayani has done to Metro Manila. Especially hate the U-turns. Ilang beses na kaming muntik ma-aksidente dito. Nung bago pa kotse namin, nabangga (actually hit & run) yung unahan ng kotse namin sa U-turn slot dito sa may Eastwood. People just don't stop and give way. Yung iba naman, sobrang laki ng turning radius (gusto kagad makarating sa kabilang side) at umookupa na ng 4lanes pag-U-turn lang. Sobrang kainis din itong U-turn from C5/Katipunan going to Eastwood. Ang layo pa bago ka maka-U-turn. siguro mga 3km ang dagdag sa byahe - sayang din sa gas yon noh.

Hindi ko sya iboboto sa eleksyon. Kahit anong national office pa ang takbuhan nya. I will really campaign against him. If he cannot improve Metro Manila, pano pa kaya ang buong Pilipinas. People from Marikina thinks he is really good at maganda daw nagawa nya para sa lungsod nila. Well, that is specifically it - hanggang isang lungsod lang ang kaya nyang paunlarin - hindi ang buong Pilipinas.

Sana i-vandal na ng wet-rag-gang ang mga posters nya along EDSA. Sobrang garapalang pangangampanya using public funds. Mas malaki pa yung mukha nya kesa sa message na gusto nyang parating.

Kawawa talaga ang Pilipinas pag sya ang maging presidente. Im sure gagawin nyang E.O. na palitan ng pink ang bandila natin. :P

GenSan Sashimi

We visited my in-laws last night. There was a small "handaan" to celebrate Janip's graduation from elementary. Ate Tess, Janip's mom arrived from GenSan and brought seafoods. We loved the tuna sashimi. So fresh & yummy. Can't remember how many i had basta ito na lang natira sa plate. Hindi naman ako lang umubos pero madami ako nakain. Yum! Can't wait for our orders to arrive. We'll have a sashimi party.

Stalemate

It has been almost a month since this blog went online. I’m just one of the many who is linking his blog. They say his site has more than 50,000 visitors in a day. There is no entry in his blog with less than 100 comments in it. People are just asking for more.

The first time I visited his site, it was just a plain blog about ranting on his bad experience with his ex. Now it is getting ugly – and I’m getting tired reading them. I just visit once in a while just to see the pictures and browse on the comments when I am bored with my other sites I usually bloghop to. Or when I read a news article about it. It was on Inquirer, now on ABS-CBNnews, then it will be featured in a TV show on cable channel (too bad we don’t have that channel…). Everybody’s in it. Pinoys really like chismis that is why this blog is so “mabenta”.

Brian already has Google AdSense and other “money-making” links in his blog. Maybe he can earn back the $70K he lost thru earnings from his online advertisement.

Earth Hour

Let's join the Earth Hour drive.
Yun nga lang, kami siguro, half join lang. It is difficult to do this when you have a toddler at home. Di sanay anak naming walang ilaw, electric fan at TV na naka-on. Kung hindi naka-on mga ito, sya na mismo mag-on (except lang siguro yung ilaw kasi di pa nya abot). Kaya siguro during the Earth Hour, itong tatlo lang ang naka-on sa bahay.

lately, i find it difficult to manage my time. there is just so many things to do in so little time.
i still haven't launched this blog. im still not certain if i should tell the whole world about my tattoo. it is not really for everybody. this is just for me.
i still dont have anything yet to write. will look for some inspiration first.

yes, that is a real tattoo. a real tattoo on MY back. i have been inked. and this is my first post about it.

i said that anything about me or about my family will be posted in my other blogs. so why am i sharing? just to add history to the blog.

first of all it is the year 2008. this year i will be turning 30. a big leap if you ask me. starting a new decade. (waaahhh tumatanda na ako.) and i would like to start a new me.

we were inspired by L.A. Ink in Discovery Travel and Living. we saw that tattoo was an art and an expression of one's self. we were inspired by other people who would have their tattoos as a reminder of things that happened in their life. and tattoo is not taboo anymore. many people are having it - even ladies.

and having a tattoo is my first adventure of the year. it took me a while to think of a good design. i wanted it to be symbolic. not just some design i saw in the net or on somebody else's body. something that would remind me of things that happened to me. so i thought of a design that would represent my life while i was in japan. so many good things happened to me there. things that i will never forget.

so for me, this sakura tattoo symbolizes my short stay in japan. it was short, but very meaningful, beautiful and memorable experience.

A new blog

isa na namang blog. alam mo bang naka-sign up ako sa iba't-ibang blog. meron ako sa dito, livejournal, wordpress at multiply. di ko alam kung ano gagawin ko sa buhay. dami ko gusto gawin. daming gusto isulat. daming gusto i-share.

so para saan ang blog na ito ngayon?

wala lang. mga kuro-kuro sa iba't ibang bagay. yung mga datihan ko nang blog ang tungkol sa aming buhay. ito namang blog na ito ay magiging mga kuro-kuro ko sa mga nababasa sa internet sa araw-araw. mga nangyayari sa labas ng bahay. at kung ano-ano pa. ito ang aking magiging laruan. dito ko it-try maging isang pro-blogger kumbaga.

maganda din kasing paglaruan ang blogspot na site. madaming pedeng ilagay sa mga pali-paligid. dun kasi sa iba kong blog, puro sulat lang talaga. gagamitin ko din sana itong blog na ito para kumita. at nang may maipandagdag sa gastusin. malay natin, pag malaki-laki na kinikita ko sa pagb-blog ay makakatigil na ako sa trabaho at pagtuunan na lamang ito ng pansin.

sana lagi kayong makadalaw at makapag-komento sa aking bagong bahay. excited na akong simulan ang aking watak-watak na mga pagmumuni.

(ang lalim naman ng mga katagang aking binibitiwan. di ko nga alam kung ginagamit ko sila sa tamang konteksto. hehehe)
